Asm labels not recognized in GCC compatibility mode

Created: 10/Feb/10 11:24 PM   Updated: 25/Feb/10 06:44 PM
Component/s: Common code
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: None

Environment: NetBSD 4.0.1 x86, gcc 4.x

 Description  « Hide
pcc does not recognize asm labels. The following statement fails with a "syntax error" message:

int foo __asm ("myfoo") = 2;

NetBSD 4 uses the "__asm" keyword; I haven't tried replacing it with "asm".

See for a description of asm labels.
