__builtin_return_address() does not accept an argument

Created: 24/Aug/12 10:51 PM   Updated: 30/Aug/12 06:21 PM
Component/s: i386 target
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: None

Environment: NetBSD/i386 at least

 Description  « Hide
the __builtin_return_address() function does not accept an argument

% cat foo.c
void foo (void)
{
        __builtin_return_address(0);
}
% pcc -c foo.c
foo.c, line 3: wrong argument count to __builtin_return_address
/usr/libexec/ccom terminated with status 1

but gcc-4.5.3 documentation does define it as

  void * __builtin_return_address (unsigned int LEVEL);

no time to look at it now, but the amd64 & i386 code at least does seem to check for an argument, not sure why narg is listed as -1?

Fixed now. I had forgotten to update due to builtin changes.
