[PCC-56] compiler error: bfcode (Mac OS X, very large source file) Created: 25/May/09 Updated: 08/Aug/09
|Reporter:||Dr Richard A. O'Keefe||Assignee:||Gregory McGarry|
|Environment:||Operating system MacOS 10.5.5, pcc built with gcc i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.0.1, built with ./configure --prefix=$HOME/local then make then make install; today's version pcc 0.9.9 for i386-apple-darwin9.5.0, email@example.com Mon May 25 14:46:57 NZST 2009|

I have a very large automatically generated source file which is to the best of my knowledge standard C89. It compiles with the Sun C compiler (on SPARC) and the gcc and Intel icc compilers on MacOS and the gcc compiler on Linux. It is 132,887 lines long, which of course is why I'd like a fast compiler.
After making a $HOME/local/include/libkern/_OSByteOrder.h that #includes <stdint.h>,
pcc -c foobar.c
got a long way and then reported
foobar.c, line 128781: compiler error: bfcode
This file requires support.h, which requires header.h; everything else is POSIX.

This seems to fix the bug
